I came up with a completely new (and I might even say, revolutionized) way to remove the 28 pin eproms from the ECU. It allows absolutely no possibility of damage to the traces, board or solder points. The process even defeats the presence of the PITA conformal coating which is a big factor in safely removing the eprom. Here are a couple of pictures of the results after removal. From start to finish, the removal of the eprom and the results shown only took about 30 minutes.
